Walmart Stock Unfazed by Emotional Support Alligator Ban
Shares of Walmart (WMT) showed little movement despite reports of a Pennsylvania store banning an emotional support alligator. The reptile, named Jinseioshi, had been a regular shopping companion for its owner, pastor Wesley Silva, who described their outings as a years-long tradition.
The 5-foot alligator, often dressed in clothing and pushed in a shopping cart with a harness, drew mixed reactions from fellow shoppers. One customer expressed disbelief at the sight, vowing to avoid the store in the future. Walmart acknowledged the incident with a statement emphasizing their appreciation for the human-animal bond, even when it involves unconventional pets.
